I am Dr. Tamer Rushdy Elalfy, consultant general and laparoscopic surgeon here in Al Khobar.
Every week, I care for patients from Indonesia, the Philippines, China, and many other countries across Asia — people who work hard here in Saudi Arabia, far from their families. I know that being unwell away from home is frightening. Being unwell, in pain, and unable to explain yourself in your own language is worse.
