For referring doctors: a fast lane, with a report back
If you refer patients to us, this page is our side of the bargain: what to send, how fast we move, and what you receive back. One channel, a named surgeon at the end of it, and a written report for every referred patient — because your patient remains your patient.
Refer urgently — same day
- Suspected appendicitis, obstructed or strangulated hernia, acute cholecystitis, or any acute abdomen — send to the emergency department at Mohammad Dossary Hospital and message us in parallel; do not wait for a clinic appointment.
- A breast lump with red-flag features, obstructive jaundice, or GI bleeding with instability — same route, same day.
Refer routinely — seen within days
- Elective hernia, gallstones (symptomatic or incidental), anal conditions, lipomas and cysts, thyroid nodules with a surgical question, breast lumps without red flags, pilonidal disease, hidradenitis.
- Second opinions and post-operative concerns from operations done elsewhere are welcome and are reported back with particular care.
How the fast lane works
- 1Message the clinic WhatsApp with the referral — one message, no forms, no portal passwords.
- 2We acknowledge the same working day and book the patient directly, telling you the date.
- 3You receive the consultation outcome, and after any operation the operation note and discharge summary — routinely within 48 hours of discharge.
- 4Anything urgent found at any stage is telephoned, not just messaged.
What to send
Send: the referral question in one line, relevant reports and imaging (photographs of paper reports are fine), the medication list — especially blood thinners, steroids, and diabetes medicines — and the best number for the patient. That is all. We handle the rest, and we report back as promised.
